CURO for Outlook - Client Installation

This document explains how to Download, install and configure the CRM 2011 Outlook client for use with CURO. All steps are given for Windows 7. Required steps may be slightly different for other versions of Windows.

A. Download & Install the Plugin

1. Plugin Location: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27821

Download and run the executable file that matches the architecture of Microsoft Office that you have installed. I.e. if you have a 64 bit OS and 32 bit Outlook, you will require the 32 bit version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.

2. On the License Agreement page, review the information. If you accept the license agreement, select I accept the license agreement, and then click Next:

3. On the Get Recommended Updates page, indicate whether you want to obtain updates through the Microsoft Update program, and then click Next:

4. Click Install Now and follow the wizard through using the default settings for save location etc:

5. The program features are installed and a progress indicator is displayed. You may be asked to restart your computer to complete the installation.

6. On the completion page of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Microsoft Office Outlook Setup wizard, click Close.

B. Configure Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook

After Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook is installed, it must be configured. When you restart Outlook after you have installed Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook, the Configuration Wizard starts automatically.

If the Configuration Wizard does not start automatically, you can start it as described in the first procedure that follows. The second procedure gives information about how to use a script to configure multiple client computers.

To configure Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook manually

1. Start the Configuration Wizard: Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and then click Configuration Wizard. Alternatively, click Configure Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook on the CRM tab in Microsoft Outlook.

3. Click Test Connection. This populates the Organization Information list:


5. For Organization, verify the Microsoft Dynamics CRM organization in the Organization list to which you want to connect, and then click OK:

The organization is initialized > Click OK.

6. If you are a member of more than one organization, restart the Configuration Wizard to designate a different organization as your current organization.

7. Click Start > Programs > Microsoft Dynamics 2011 > Diagnostics. Click on Advanced Troubleshooting tab, click Enable, then Save.

8. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and click "View Installed Updates". Check the entry for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Outlook; the update Roll up number should be 18. You can download Rollup 18 which can be found here - http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=44265.

9. You will also need to download Update for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 (KB 3179593) as this contains various hotfixes and updates. You can find this here - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54061 You may be required to restart you computer following this.
